Rapid Prototyping
From idea to tested prototype, in days, not weeks.
Quick 3D helps product teams and engineers across Malaysia turn CAD files into real parts fast — so you can test, learn and improve your design before committing to tooling. Six industrial 3D printing technologies and over 500 materials, made in Shah Alam, Selangor.

Prototypes for every stage
Concept models
Quick, low-cost models to check size, shape and ergonomics early in the design.
Looks-like prototypes
Smooth, detailed or full-colour parts that look like the finished product — for reviews, photos and customer feedback.
Works-like prototypes
Functional parts in engineering plastics to test fit, assembly and performance.
Engineering validation
Prototypes in production-grade materials — including heat-resistant, flame-retardant and ESD-safe grades — for real-world testing.
Clear and fluidic parts
Transparent parts, polished to glass-like clarity, to see fluid flow and internal features.
Pre-production samples
Small batches that look and feel like moulded parts, using MJF, SLS or urethane casting.
Recommended processes
Design & CAD
Product design, 2D to 3D conversion and DfAM to make your part printable.
Why product teams choose Quick 3D
Six technologies, one partner
FDM, SLA, SLS, MJF, PolyJet and metal under one roof, with over 500 industrial materials.
Fast lead times
FDM parts in as little as 1 day, SLA in 3 days, and SLS, MJF, PolyJet and metal in as little as 7 days.
Inspected and protected
Every order is dimensionally and visually inspected, and we sign NDAs to protect your designs.
Frequently asked questions
What is rapid prototyping?
Rapid prototyping is making physical models of a design quickly — usually by 3D printing — so you can test form, fit and function and improve the design before investing in production tooling.
Which 3D printing process is best for prototypes?
It depends on the prototype. FDM is fastest for strong functional parts, SLA gives smooth detailed and clear parts, PolyJet makes multi-colour, multi-material models, and SLS or MJF suit durable nylon parts. Compare them in our process comparison guide.
How fast can I get a prototype?
FDM parts can be ready in as little as 1 day, SLA parts in 3 days, and SLS, MJF, PolyJet and metal parts in as little as 7 days, depending on size, quantity and finishing.
How much does a 3D printed prototype cost?
Cost depends on size, material, process, quantity and finish. Read what affects the cost of 3D printing or send your file for a quote.
Do I need a CAD file?
A CAD file is best, but we can also work from a drawing, a sketch or a physical part through our design and 3D scanning services.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes. We can sign an NDA before you share your designs.
