3D Printing for Automotive
Automotive 3D printing, from prototype to production line.
From Tier 3 suppliers to OEMs, Quick 3D helps automotive teams iterate faster and keep production lines running — with industrial 3D printing in engineering-grade materials, made in Shah Alam, Selangor.

What we make for automotive teams
Functional prototypes
Test the form, fit and function of brackets, housings, ducts and interior trim before committing to tooling.
Jigs, fixtures & assembly aids
Lightweight custom tools for the production line in carbon-fibre composites, tough nylons and ESD-safe materials.
Spare & replacement parts
Reproduce hard-to-find or discontinued parts on demand from a CAD file, a drawing or a 3D scan. Spare parts service →
Bridge & low-volume production
Bridge the gap to injection moulding with SLS and MJF nylon parts or urethane casting.
Heat-resistant components
High-temperature polymers such as PEEK and ULTEM PEI for parts that operate near heat sources.
Lightweight performance parts
Topology-optimised and lattice structures in nylon composites and metal for motorsport and lightweighting.
Recommended processes
FDM
Carbon-fibre nylon, ASA, PC and PC-ABS for strong fixtures, brackets and prototypes.
SLS & MJF
Durable PA12 and glass-filled nylon for housings, clips and low-volume end-use parts.
Metal
Aluminium AlSi10Mg, titanium Ti64 and stainless steel for lightweight, high-strength parts.
Urethane Casting
Production-quality short runs that look and feel like moulded parts.
3D Scanning
Reverse-engineer existing parts into CAD for reproduction and inspection.
Design & CAD
Design for additive manufacturing (DfAM) to make parts lighter and stronger.

Frequently asked questions
What automotive parts can be 3D printed?
Common automotive applications include functional prototypes, jigs and fixtures for assembly lines, brackets, housings, ducts, clips, replacement parts and low-volume end-use parts.
Which materials are best for automotive 3D printing?
It depends on the part. Carbon-fibre nylon is stiff and lightweight; ASA is UV-resistant for exterior parts; PC and PC-ABS are tough; PEEK and ULTEM PEI handle high temperatures; PA12 from SLS or MJF suits durable end-use parts; and aluminium, titanium or stainless steel suit metal components.
Can you reproduce a discontinued car part?
Yes. We can 3D scan an existing part, convert the scan into a CAD model through reverse engineering, and then 3D print or cast the replacement.
How quickly can you deliver automotive prototypes?
FDM parts can be ready in as little as 1 day, SLA parts in 3 days, and SLS, MJF and metal parts in as little as 7 days, depending on size, quantity and finishing.
Will you sign an NDA for my automotive project?
Yes. We enforce strict data security and can sign an NDA before you share your designs.
